Hello! I’m Kayla. I’ve been sewing since I was a girl. I was taught by my mom who sewed clothing for us growing up. I always wanted to be a costume designer so you will often see me sewing just that for my kids. I didn’t sew a lot until my first daughter was born and used vintage paper patterns my Mom had until I found out about PDF patterns when my third child was born. I love vintage and historical styles and incorporate that into what I sew. Aside from sewing, I also spend my time homeschooling my children, being outside, thrifting vintage and antique treasures, I’m a professional photographer, and I am a beginner at surface pattern designing. I’m so excited to be designing for Sunflower Seams!
