Sonnet Dusk {Riley Blake Designs}

Sonnet Dusk {Riley Blake Designs}

Hello Fall! Fall is a little bittersweet for me, in my eyes nothing is more wonderful than the Summer. But Fall does have its good side as well...warm coffee, boots, big sweaters, and all things pumpkin!!

Sonnet Dusk by Corri Sheff is a gorgeous new collection for Riley Blake Designs of florals, leaves, dots and stripes. The color palette is full of rose, blush, taupe, charcoal, teal and butterscotch. I'm never a fan of the weather change but these gorgeous jewel tones have me so excited for fall.

Last month we released the new Rose pattern and I instantly knew it would be perfect for this collection.

Rose is a classic style dress with a gathered skirt available in both dress, and vintage lengths. It has a split, gathered bodice with waistband option, simple bodice version with faux waistband, or a basic simple bodice version. With a cap sleeve, 3/4 sleeve, 3/4 ruffled sleeve, long, and ruffled long sleeve variations, the sewist can turn Rose into anything they wish it to be. Rose also has the most beautiful optional sash for those that love a big bow.

I especially love how the split, gathered bodice provides the opportunity to really show case a fabric.

For this dress, I chose to use the Sonnet Dusk Main Rose for the main dress and add Sonnet Dusk Dots Pink as the center gathered bodice and sleeve bias. I just can't get enough of those gorgeous florals.

Sonnet Dusk, designed by Corri Sheff, is expected to land on the shelves of your favorite quilt shops this month.
