Buttercup Blooms is a brand new collection by Gerri Robinson. Gerri stays true to her love of florals in blues and grays, while introducing colors like gold and sage that aren't normally used in her collections. "Buttercup Blooms comes from that part of me where traditional prints meet a current and on-trend color palette for a beautiful array of florals, paisleys, ditsy prints and a mottled dot.”
Gerri curated a stunning color palette of deep navy, gold, soft sage, cream.
Cornflower is a beautiful woven top or dress offering a plethora of options. With three different sleeves to best fit your style and two different skirt lengths, Cornflower is guaranteed to fit your needs. The elastic waist gives adorable gathers around the waist and the optional skirt ruffle adds a dainty feel. Cornflower also offers optional pockets and a back tie just add to the unique look of Cornflower.
Since the weather is finally cooling down here, I wanted to try the long sleeve version. I have made the cap sleeve and it is so adorable so I knew the long sleeves would be too.
I also decided to cut this version about 2" shorter than the vintage length for more of a tunic look and my daughter and I both love the finished product.
I used the Buttercup Blooms Floral in Dusk for the main bodice and skirt and added the Buttercup Blooms Ditsy in Cream as a coordinating fabric for the button placket, sleeve cuffs and ties I the back.
Buttercup Blooms, designed by Gerri Robinson, is now available in your favorite local quilt shops and online. What will you make with this gorgeous collection?
