{2022 Costume Tour}- Day Three

{2022 Costume Tour}- Day Three

It is day three of the 2022 Costume Tour and things are looking a little spooky on the blog today! Brace yourself, you might see a costume that may make you S-C-R-E-A-M!

Beetlejuice

The very talented Brionna made this super cute Beetlejuice costume! Though I must say it is hard to be scared when you see that beautiful smile!

Brionna explained, "I used the Violet (Baby Violet) pattern. I didn't change too much. Instead of making a ruffle for the bib portion, I used lace trim. I added a long strip of 6 in tulle to the bottom hem line. I did it by gathering the tulle down the middle and attaching it to the hem stitch."

A Witch

Lacey worked up a super creative potion with her daughter's costume!

Lacey says "double, bubble, toil and trouble! It’s Halloween season again, and this year my daughter requested a 'casual witch' costume that she could comfortably wear to school. While I’m sad to see the days of big poofy princess dresses are coming to a close, I do love watching her grow and have an ever increasing opinion on her style and taste! For Ash(Baby Ash), we made a few modifications! First, I cut the front piece at the lining line (making sure to add in seam allowances!!) so that we could add the cutest ruffle down the middle. Second, I lengthened the straps in order to be able to knot the bottoms instead of using buttons. Last, I shortened the legs to capri length. I won’t lie, my favorite part of the whole outfit is that she can wear these cute Ash overalls well past Halloween!"

She concludes, "for her Saffron witch hat, I used a crushed velvet with a satin bow. We curled the top over and sewed in a few tacks to make sure everything held in place."

And that is it for day three!! We are now over half way through our 2022 Costume Tour! Have you been inspired by the last three days? Be sure to tell us about it in our Facebook group!

Happy Sewing!
