{2022 Costume Tour}- Day Four

{2022 Costume Tour}- Day Four

DAY FOUR is here and we have some simply magical costumes to showcase today. Both of today's creations look like they came right out of the storybooks.

Cinderella

Bippity-boppity- beautiful! The magic Laura created is something that midnight can't even break!

Laura says, “I decided for this Cinderella dress, that I would make it poofy without tulle. Thus, I added a hoop skirt underneath. For the front bodice, I modified Daphne (Baby Daphne) with a very slight heart shape neckline. I extended the front bodice to the length of Rose. I used Rose for the back bodice and I used Daphne for the sleeves. For the skirt, I cut 3 skirt pieces instead of 2 using the Sunflower Dress (Baby Sunflower) maxi skirt measurements. I recommended that you decrease the width of each skirt piece by 5-10 inches. Lastly, I added a sparkly tulle overlay to the front bodice and I covered the raw edges of the overlay with silver sparkly ribbon. I used satin fabric.”

Belle

Is your little one looking for "adventure in the great wide somewhere?" If so, then Kaitlin's piece is exactly the inspiration that you need!!

"Tale as old as time, true as it can be, Ella wanted to be Belle, from Beauty and the Beast. My little princess begged me to make her a Belle inspired dress. “The pretty, poofy, yellow one from when they are dancing together”. To make her wish come true I used the Flora pattern. This dress features a sash across the chest out of organza that ties in the back in a bow. I hand-sewed a decorative rose button to the middle of the sash.

I used the same organza to make the bows that are used to tie the pickups on the skirt overlay. Also, I added gold lace trim to the waistband and added a yellow lace layer on top of the yellow crepe dress length skirt. She wore a removable pettiskirt under the dress to give it the extra poof she was looking for. Her wish definitely came true, and she could not stop dancing and twirling to this tune as old as song."

What a great tour day!! Tomorrow is Flora's official release date and the Facebook group will be flooded with gorgeous costume inspiration. Be sure to join now so you do not miss out!

We only have ONE MORE day left of our costume tour and I promise it will not disappoint!

Happy Sewing!
